Snore and Sleep Testing – Help Your Health
As dentistry discovers new information to help your health, Dr. Clauson implements those practices so she can provide the best care possible. Sleep disordered breathing, which includes sleep apnea and snoring has been shown to be one of the most serious health risks and can play a role in high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes and acid reflux. Sleep apnea can be a leading cause of death, greater than cancer and hypertension.
At TLC Dental Care, we can test for this situation and screen for sleep disordered breathing. Some signs we may notice during your exam are grinding and wear on your teeth, signs of acid erosion and scalloping on your tongue. During your exam, we may also see dental signs that point to airway issues and can study and screen the airway directly.
We have amazing technology to help mimic what the airway would do during sleep and can offer home sleep testing and snoring/sleep appliances to help open the airway.
If you want to check your sleep health, or if you have been told that you snore, please ask us about a complimentary screening! Call our office to schedule an appointment.
